Since establishing his first professional practice in 1983,
Tony has accumulated over 3000 hoursof massage therapy training. Tony is dedicated to learning not only what is required for his practice, but also what will be most beneficial to you.
Hiring a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) is important.
Tony has been a professional massage therapist for over 25 years. Upon returning to California, one of the first things he did was to apply to the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) for certification as a massage therapist. State certification assures that every certified practitioner has a basic set of skills, and protects you from being harmed by an unqualified practitioner.
But simply having a certificate doesn’t make you an excellent massage therapist – that’s where Tony’s years of experience become important.
Why is experience important?
Having experience with problems. Having experience means encountering problems not once, but many times. That means identifying problems faster, and knowing how to tailor a solution for you.
Tony listens. All this experience means knowing how to listen to your needs and manage pain relief. Sometimes it may be hard for you to explain the problem accurately or easily. That is when a good interview can reveal opportunities to treat you more effectively.
Tony can change it up. Tony changes the techniques he uses during your massage based upon your present condition, what has been successful in past sessions, and where you are in the process of recovery.
